Emerald Gemstone Spotlight
In this episode of Gemstone Spotlight, Shelly Sergent shares that emerald is gorgeous, unique and only appears green, for many people misinterpret that emerald can be different colors. Examples of this are morganite compared to pink emeralds and red beryl viewed as red emerald, but emerald is only a pretty green. Throughout history, emerald has been considered the king of gems and birthstone of May because of its classic crystal structure and special shade of green in the beryl family. Emerald is also a type-3 gemstone which means it naturally has lots of inclusions that are not found in other gemstones, and these inclusions inside make emerald more valuable and more beautiful.
